Just brought the 2002 Funship 234 out from winter storage and drained the antifreeze from the fresh water system as we do every year (by opening the aft and bow showers and the sink). Pump worked fine at this point. Refilled the tank with fresh water to repeat the rinse and now the pressure is way down. Can only get water from one recepticle at a time. No leaks, the pump pressurizes as it should within a few seconds and turns off. Please tell me that I don't need a new pump...

You don't need a new pump

Seriously you probably sucked some crud up from the bottom of the tank. I did this when mine was brand new and have several times since. There were plastic shavings in my tank and that clogged the screens going into the pump. I don't recall exactly how I got mine apart but it wasn't hard to do. I would first make sure the input side is clear of obstructions then I would pressurize the pump with the output line off and make sure it is pumping clean. I think I even had plastic shavings in my pump at one point and that allowed the pump to spit those pieces out. I don't know that is what your problem is but it would be a good place to start trouble shooting.

My moneys on the plastic shavings clogging the screen before the pump intake. Same problem here.

Hello!
Sometimes you will get a slimy scum on the inlet filter screen. THe inlet suction strainer is usually an inline type. Pain in the butt to take apart and put together sometimes.

Scum in the inlet filter screen was the problem! I had to clean it three times, but I'm back in business now. Thanks for everyone's help!
