I have a 2004 Funship with a dual prop. I get some prop spin sometimes when I turn, is this normal? It does help to make sure the prop trim is down but it still slips sometimes. Also, when backing up this boat turns better in one direction than the other but turns fine in forward. Is this normal and if not, any suggestions. If I goose it going the other direction it will turn.

Thanks for your help!

To address the prop spin ....

If you are used to a single prop, you may be trimming the drive out too far. The DP does not like a lot of up-trim. If you have the drive trimmed up for fast straight running, it really should not be more than just a few degrees (just a few 1/2 to 1 second taps on the trim button. If trimmed up too high, it will cavitate on a sharp turn.
