Nice job! I have the EXACT same boat and want that platform too.......I got a quote form Swimplatforms 2 years ago for around 1300.00+-- does that sound right? Couple questions for you......did you need to remove your fresh water tank to have access inside for bolting? What about your water heater- did you remove as well?.....So I see that the Hull ID # is still visible-that's great! What size gap between the hull and platform is there at the I.D. #? looks like maybe 1/2"?
So you have 3 through-bolts on top, what about below the water line? Lag bolts? Where you nervous drilling? I guess if you just squirt a whole bunch of 5200 in the holes, your fine. How did you cover up the old holes from the factory swimm ladder once you removed it from boat? I heard that you can just put the bolts back in with some sealant--is that what you did? Thanks!

Steve, there is about 1/4 inch or less gap on either side but its under the factory rub rail and looking from the top down you cant see it. I could have shaved a little off the sides to bring it in better but I am very happy with the results anyway.
You can still read the Hull # perfectly from underneath.
No I didnt move the water storage tank or the hot water heater to get to the 12 bolts that came through.( 6 for the tab that is underneath and the 6 for the 2 brackets.
the water stroage tank side was easy compared to the water heater side, but I managed ok. I used long needle nose vice grips to place the washers over the bolts and hold the nuts on while my buddy brought in the bolts.
then when I did my final tighten I used a long assed box end wrench to hold nut tight.
the 4 lag bolts are below the waterline for the 2 support poles, I used plenty of 5200 and drilled with the perfectly sized bit so that I got a great bite without cracking the transom.
wasnt nervous at all drilling, just took me a while to get my placement correct before I drilled
After I removed the factory(eye soar) ladder and cleaned off the grime, I countersunk/drilled the holes and used 5200 and the original bolts so the are just below the deck and covered with some more 5200. it looks 1000% better than the ladder being there.
As far as price, the
platform was $1345, shipping and crating made the total to the door $1718.00 worth every penny... after seeing it and using it today on the water, I would have paid way more
