I just installed a set of I2systems tri color bulbs in my arch. they are warm white, blue, and red. they change colors with the flick of the switch.

Thanks! Here's a link to the "Warm White" Hella Rakino:

Says they're 3000k under the specs.

I have been enjoying our new summer home quite a bit lately. I just thought I would show a couple of the projects I have been working on. First one is adding lighting to the arch

Image
I used some LED fixtures I found on Ebay. I am very pleased with the output and color of the lights. The fixture itself is made in stainless. I know these are not "marine fixtures" but for $12 each, I will see how long they last. They are only about a half inch thick and look pretty sharp too. It was a fairly easy install once I was able to fish the wire down the arch. I tied them to the courtesy lights (for now). I may put them on a separate switch soon.

Then there is the speaker addition:

I hate to say it, but I bought these because I saw Ric's post about them. I was going to go with the Polk, but for the cost and the color of these (match my boat color perfect), I figured I would just go for it. They sound fine and look great. I am not a stereo buff, so I dont plan to put 150w to these ever.

Im also working on the permanent mount for my grill. I am trying to get the right kit to mount to the rail at the transom locker. This has been a major pain because there isnt enough room for the magma ones to mount. The space between the rail and fiberglass is too small to make them fit. This will take some creativity.....

Looks very nice Hutch.
I believe "ric" learned about the Infinity speakers from an earlier post here. At least they were, and are recommended by me.
Almost 1 year before ric even had a boat (other than his jon boat with Nissan O/B, and was a member here.

Hutch, post a picture of your rear rail. it must be different than on my 268 and 318 as it fits on there.

I will post one. I need to go back up to the boat on Thursday to finish running the other side and clean up. The rail sits only about 1-1/2" above the fiberglass at most. Because of the transom locker I guess. I have found a couple other possible solutions but they will also require some engineering. I thought I had a solution with the round rail mounts combo with the square rail mount, but the door to the transome locker hits it!

I have the Monterey. I bought it from a guy on CL and it came with square rail mounts and extension bars. I really like the idea of the extension bars, but Im worried that it will make the locker hard to access........FIRST, I have to get the thing mounted!

May be a smaller grill than you have, but I found this pic.

That is pretty much what I am looking to do. That looks like a 268. I know the transom locker is different on mine. My rail sits on top of the transom locker on a horizontal part of the fiberglass. I think that one is on a vertical. If mine were like that, there would be no problem mounting it at all. I made some grooved wood blocks out of treated 1x4 that I think will do the trick. I will use a rubber gasket material that came with the round rail mounts and combine with my square rail mounts. Hopefully, I will have a picture of this completed soon. This will be quite the rig
