Same here!

I learned how to do this from owning a 70MPH Big Block Stingray that took massive amounts of water into the bilge from the stern wake. One day I neglected to "slow" down and a minute later the bilge pump was in full swing!

Likewise! Just back off the power, let it settle some and then, just as the wake approaches the stern, give it a little throttle to jump ahead of it. I suppose you could also pull into a hard turn to ride back up onto your own wake. But you'd still have to take care not to have the engine at or near an idle to avoid the reversion problems.

Mate when mine did it i went to google and tyoed in my mercruser wont start?? Got heaps of hits.

It turned out I had it slightly in gear. Saved me heaps...
