I'm replacing the 3 Xintex tank-level senders on all tanks on my V378 that aren't working.

The Xintex website only offers 1 1/2 inch NPT senders, but when I measure the diameter of the old Xintex sender with calipers, it measures 1.9 inches (48.2mm).

I'm in Australia, so I don't want to order the wrong size.

Am I missing something with the way the thread diameters are measured ??

Any chance the sticker is still attached for cross reference purposes?

Very strange you ask - I actually have the Fresh Water sender in my brief case at work with me right now. I did however, elect not to bring the holding tank sender with me. The part number is TS-11-3 605. Boat is a 2006 Vista 378. I believe my fresh water tank is 350mm in depth .

Thanks Bliss36

How weird is this - Your sender is the same diameter as mine. The specs say it's a 1 1/2' fitting, but the diameter of the threaded part is way bigger than 1 1/2'

NPT (national pipe thread) is the measurement of the inside size of the pipe. So 1 1/2" will be very close to 2" on the outside of the threads.

Thanks Jeff,

That now makes sense. I knew that pipes had different ways of measuring the diameter, but I never thought that would have extended to something as simple as a hole in a water tank.

I'll now order the right size sender ! :)
