Anyone ever try to ski or tube behind a small crusier? 288 or 298?

Where would you connect the tow rope?

Yes- done it a few times 'no problem' used a yoke set up between the 2 rear hooks.

I have not skied behind a 298, but our 248! I compare our 248 to our last boat (245 sundowner w/king cobra outdrive) With the DP on the vista the hole shot is good.

As far as hooking a rope up for skiing or tubing, I made a bridal to hook up to the two tie down loops on the transom. Have seen some put a ski eye on the back of the swim deck, in fact previous owner of our boat did this, but I don't like it.

Yes, we do it all the time. We had the tower installed on our 258. The current 258 and 278 also come with a tow hook on the swim platform.

I just tell everyone it's impossible to ski or wakeboard behind it, because I don't want to deal with it.. I don't like driving in circles or wasting fuel driving in circles :)

Well, I look at it that we only have a few years before the kids are gone and in the mean time they still want to bring their friends out for a fun afternoon. We love it. :) :) :)

Same for us. We still waterski off our 268Vista when our Daughter and her friends come with us! We also attach a bridle to the lower transom lift rings. I usually do that before I launch the boat and keep the end of the bridle secured to the swim platform, since I can't get to those rings while on the boat if is is already in the water.
