I assume you have:
1 house battery (hopefully a deep cycle)
1 for Port Engine (hopefully a starting battery)
1 for Starboard Engine (hopefully a starting battery)

You should not tie them together.
If you do, and run them low, you won't bee able to crank the engines to get home.
You also would not be able to crank the generator to charge the batteries.

Best solution is to get a second deep cycle battery and wire in parallel to the existing house battery.
Now, depending on age of your house battery now, you might need to go ahead and replace as you want them to be matched in rating and ability to hold a charge.

The real struggle will be to fit a second house battery. It's tight in there!

I looked at changing to golf cart batteries, etc but settled on upgrading to a Lifeline GPL-31XT battery. Really extended the run time while anchored out.

It fits in the same battery holder, just much heavier.

If no room for a 2nd battery, then only solution is to upgrade to a larger house battery.
Like said, a 31 group size will help.
What battery do you have now for your house battery and how old is it?

There is plenty of room to add a additional house battery, I have two group 31 deep cycles in mine and starters for the other two
