Hi all,

While my starboard engine was out getting replaced, I took my genset out to rebuild the corroded control box. I did not remove the genset, I had a local marina do it. I had a friend install the genset back, but for whatever reason he did not connect the re(bat) lead onto the gen or the black ground.

When the shop i stalled the new starboard engine, the black ground that was loose, was connected to the ground stud behind the starboard engine. Now I have to figure out which is the black ground for the gen and where does the red positive go on the generator.

Any chance someone with similar boat and genset (Kohler) can tell me where the black ground going to the gen comes from and where the red positive lead is connected to on genset?

Ive contacted FW and they were no help. I have a 5E service manual but can't tell where the leads go connected to.

It would be greatly appreciated.
