No stock wired remotes? I had a Sony wired remote at the helm and one at the swim platform by the shower door. So I replaced mine with a Sony to be able to use them

No reviews on the Kenwood, clarion has more than 20 and a 4.5/5 rating.... I don't think it matters.... if you kike the kenwood you have now, get a kenwood, if you want to spend the extra $$ get the clarion. The clarion looks to be simple to operate.... I would recommend getting one that you could add the wired remotes. I know it's older technology, but it sure is handy at the helm and swim platform....

The Clarion M505 is a solid unit! The blue tooth is excellent. Better pre-amp output fir external amp. However, it has front USB and AUX sockets. I dont like these when the head unit is helm mounted in a protecting enclosure or glove box mounted. Too easy to damage something then these plugs are used. The M303 has rear USB and AUX leads, which can be run to a remote socket located on the helm or glove box. The Blur tooth is good, just a generation older then the M505. Both are easy to navigate and support clarion wired remotes.

Another model worth a look, is the Fusion MS-RA70. Great blue tooth and offer zone volume control. The MS-RA70 does not support the NMEA 2K or wired remotes so you would need to go with the MS-RA70N. Both support the Fusion-Link wireless app control.
