I need to repair /replace the zipper strip that slides into the track on the rear of the arch for the camper canvas.....not the canvas itself...just the zipper strip that stays on the boat.

Any ideas?

I was quoted $320 USD plus shipping from the OEM to replace these zipper (valances)... excessive in my opinion.

I ordered just the zippers online and handed them over to a local canvas shop with my original valances. He cut the old zippers off and sewed the new zippers on. Looks great and works great too.... for about 1/3 the price.

You need to order No.8 YKK zippers in white. Here is a link to where I ordered mine.

I don't recall the lengths you need but it's just a matter of measuring. Order each one a bit longer than what you need and have the canvas guy cut to length.

They are $177.00 dollars from Great Lakes Boat Tops.
Take the zipper to a person who does canvas repair. The zipper is sewed onto Keder Awning Rope. Available from Sailrite for $1.20/ft

Are the teeth on the zipper bad or just the pull tab? I was kinda intimidated by my broken zippers but they are a breeze to repair. There is a plastic stop at the end of the zipper. You just crush and break off that stop with pliars and the old zipper will slide off. Slide the new one back on and there are some replacement metal stop that you crimp back on at the end. You are done. I bought mine from here.
