I am a new owner of a used boat -2004 268 Vista with the Volva Penta drive and 5.7 GI motor. The boat I bought has the D series aluminum dual props and I wanted to get a stainless set. Closer inspection revealed that these props are not matched - one is a D6 and one is a D7. I am trying to find out what props it should have come with from the factory and what the stainless equivalent would be if it shipped with aluminum. My boat does not have a generator, AC, or radar arch if that matters (weight?). Any help is much appreciated as I have searched around and found lots of conflicting and confusing info.

Depending on your location/elevation, you should have F4 prop set.

Unlikely your boat came with the aluminum props. PO probably tried to save some $'s. Not the
right way to do it with mis-matched material and front and rear sizes you now have.

Thanks Cap'N. I see you are in Michigan as well - I am in northern Mich and new to the boating world and really appreciate the help. Will running the boat with the mismatched props damage the drive? In my searches I found where Volvo issued a bulletin in 2005 stating that it could but then I see where others intentionally run them mismatched.
