Hi All, I have a 2004 Four Winns Vista 328. when we were out in rough sea yesterday one of the front port holes was leaking from the seal between the glass & the frame. It has a screen in it which is plastic which i don't think would seal that well but without it the glass is very loose.

Is there something else that is supposed to be in there. I tried tightening the screws on the twist locks but that didn't make any difference.

as the port hole is below the gunwale it cops a fair pounding in heavy sea & should be a tight seal.

thanks in advance.
Greg

On my boat the screens are to be removed prior to closing.

I had the same issue on a few of my windows. I picked up a roll narrow foam stripping with an adheasive on the back... typically used for screen doors. I stuck it to the frame and now have a tight seal.

thanks Alex, when I bought the boat the screens were in with the glass closed. I am wondering if this has squashed the seals so now they no longer seal properly.
thanks for the heads up.

That is exactly what happened to mine.

It was my wife that pointed out to me that the screens actually say something to the effect that they are to be removed prior to closing the window.
