LOL, good thinking! I ended up solo at lunch today and taped the magnet in place on the outside then match up the magnet inside. Worked good, whoever suggested that in a post, thank you! Cut out the tank also. Bout as far as I can Go til the parts come in. May try to pull the the pump out hose and vent tomorrow night.

Gary
Does your storage under the aft bed (where my grey tank was) have carpet in it, or is it wood, painted gray?

Thanks
Chris

It is just wood and /or fiberglass painted gray. Be sure to leave any drain holes open between compartments for water drainage in the bilge. That compartment does add a lot of storage space. It is not real easy to access when the aft cabin bed is made though. We added a mattress pad on top of the OEM mattresses, which makes it that much harder to get in to that compartment.

Completed this project this morning. Drilled/ installed the Through Hull fitting yesterday, let it set up til this morning. The hose was on 1”fittings, but would not go on the new Through the hull fitting.... warmed it up with a heat gun, still no go... so heated it up real good so it was real plyable. Wedged the handles of a pair of 420 channel lock handles in and stretched it as much as I could, let them cool completely. Then slid right on... minor PITA.... very excited to have this project basically complete. Still need to cut out the old gray water pump out hose and vent and eliminate the old pump out fitting....

Thanks again for all the ideas, advice, answers for this little project.

Wow, lots of work. I've changed my Rule O Matic bilge switch in my shower/kitchen sink sump twice and would rather do that yearly than undertake all fo this. Guess I'm lazy, like the guys who designed the kitchen sink to go into the sump in the first place.

It was def well worth the time and minor expense. I hated How long the kitchen sink took to drain. Disliked having 2 tanks to worry about filling up. The old level indicators did not work (maybe the newer boats are better). I will Love having an additional 20 gallons of space.... I am Happy I spent, maybe 12 hours total on this.... probably would have been a lot less if I was Skinnier, and didn’t have an issue with spinal spinosis causing issues with my neck and left arm.....

".....probably would have been a lot less if I was Skinnier, and didn’t have an issue with........."

Aaaahhhhh.....the Good Old Days. When we weren't so good, we weren't so old, and the days, well......the days were NIGHTS 8)  :P    :D

There have been many times that I would like to have asked an engineer what they were thinking when they designed something the way they did. Sorry, Ray and others. I do have fun teasing my son about this too, but he just gives me that look like "Dad has lost it again". The human body just doesn't seem to bend and contort as well with age.

All the things we do, and do wrong, seem to take their tool with time. I suppose the boat junk food diet and liquid refreshments contribute to it, but I am not giving that up, at least not yet.......
