Ok, so this is easily the largest gift I've ever gotten that came already wrapped up. All I need is the big, red bow and I'd be set!

The boat has been stuck on the east side of Washington thanks to recent thunder-snow and a cold snap in Seattle. But, the mountain pass lifted their oversize load ban for a brief period of time during a break in the weather today.

The Genmar driver, Chris, was awesome. These guys are rockstars. After stopping traffic on a 5 lane highway to move the boat & truck, he backed it right in and the unloading began.

** Note, delivery was made to a Regal dealer of all places since Seattle doesn't have a Four Winns dealer anymore. I have a great contact (the service manager) - thanks to Law950 (Ed). Ed helped me by introducing me to this fellow and getting the process going.

Four Winns was happy to deliver straight to Seattle - rather than the Ryan @ Winnisquam in New Hampshire. Saved me almost 10 thousand dollars in double-shipping charges!

Also found out, this boat was a March, 08 hull.

These jackstands, called Yard-Arms, were just to lift the boat above the trailer

Here's the boat on just the stands!

Slide in the trailer, and there we go!

She'll stay wrapped up through the end of the year, and will await a January dry spell for her official unveiling.

Now introducing, and registered with the Coast Guard, "All Night Long" out of homeport - Seattle, WA.

CONGRATS!!!!!!!! As a fellow 2008 - 318 owner welcome to the club. It looks great even under the plastic can't wait to see it uncovered with the name one the back. From what you have said it sounds like the weather is good enough to start using it in January. That had to be about the longest wait ever, that would have nuts. I had to wait about a week for the check day because of weather and that was bad enough.
Merry Christmas - great gift.

As I am parked on my couch tonight... A jubile ale in hand and laptop in the other -- the news currently reports "Arctic Blast 2008" is now turning into a blizzard.

I don't know how -- but the break in the weather briefly yesterday was a savior. Otherwise, the boat would still be stuck in Eastern Washington well into next week.

Fortunately, the boat has arrived. It's offloaded, and will go through 70mph winds and snow tonight behind a locked gate with several other boats that are not shrink wrapped whatsoever.

Man - my wife and I are super excited. Hopefully December is our "winter" and we get an early Spring in January!

It's going to be such a great summer to break-in the new boat! Now, if the weather would just cooperate!

Keep in mind, you ARE allowed to cut into the wrap (do it by the swim platform, obviously), cliimb on board, crawl around, hang out and then seal her back up. It was my favorite day last March - I highly recommend it :D

What a quick delivery, that shrink wrap looks like it took a beating on the trip over. At least that puts a bright spot in the foul weather.

Great name too, looking forward to the unveiling!
