Does anyone know where I can get a SMX II control panel without having to pay an arm or leg for one? I think I am due for a new one because it won't respond to any commands. I have gone on the Cruisair website and contacted my local distributor and they priced it at $205, but want another quote. Thanks.

Can't recommend a cheaper source. But I seem to recall reading there was a common way those keypads would fail and a suggested fix. Don't know where I read it though. I've never opened one but many membrane style keypads are the same. TV remotes are sort of the same idea. Has yours died because of lots of use?

It probably died because of "lack of use". I was a two boat owner for 4 years and just recently started using my Vista full time again. This will be the 2nd one I have had to replace in the 8 years that I have owned the boat. I am pretty sure the first one went bad while it was under warranty and I guess I will just bite the bullet and pay up unless I can google up a quick and easy fix. Maybe it just needs to be reset to manufacturer settings. Thanks.

Huh, could be corrosion I guess. I'm assuming you've checked all the physical connections, right? Couldn't be as simple as a corroded or loose set of wires...

My controller works fine but the bracket just started falling apart. Had to get through the season with Gorilla Tape. Any one have a spare bracket?
