I am a very happy owner of a Horizon 230 but 2'itis has struck us. We are looking at possibly moving to a Vista but our kids are still interested in watersports. Does anyone attempt to pull tubers with a 248 or 268? I know I'm am trying to have a boat that does it all but this one may not be possible. We have seen other boaters on the Illinois River pulling tubes with crusiers but it just doesn't look right.

Any input would be helpful.

I can't speak for large boat Four Winns owners but I can speak of tubing behind a larger boat. My brother has a 31' Searay with twin 454 IO's that I have tubbed behind. Other than receiving more water spray in the face, it was blast! It was an awesome site watching this massive boat in front of me jumping out of the water and whipping me around. Can't imagine it did much for his gas mileage though! I would think that it would also cut down any chop for skiers as well. Maybe use a longer pull rope for tubes to help cut down the spray?

Our friend has a 268 . He takes his kids tubing all the time. Works great for him.

We have a '99 258 and pull tubes quite often. No problems at all. I keep meaning to try the wakeboard, but never get around to it. Tubing is no problem though, it pulls the tubes as well as the Supra did!!!
