Mine is a 2002 with about 90,000 miles on it. The last owner just put a new transmission in it and ball joints.

Wow, surprised it needed a new transmission with that low of miles. The 4L80E/4L85E is essentially bullet proof. Do you know why it needed to be replaced?

The ones we were able to find, either had a ton of rust or too high mileage (like 200,000+). This one has zero rust on it.

Yup. The one you found sounds good.

I know it was only used during the summer months for a concession business. The trailers that the guy owned were relatively small, so I'm not sure if he just wasnt changing the transmission fluids or checking those levels, or what the real problem was. I have the carfax report on it, and it was clean and had every service that was done over the last 10+ years. He kept up with the oil and filters.

The good news, is the tranny has another 3 years warranty on it and the engine runs super smooth for that big of a monster!

Thanks everyone! I feel really lucky that things went so well with my sale. I know we will miss her, but it is necessary for us to make more memories. I have two on my radar right now, one is a 278 and one a 268. I plan to make a trip to see the 278 as soon as Sunday. I will make sure to let you know how things go. Right now, we are leaning toward the 278, but we will see......
