Does anyone have any suggestions for good/reasonably priced fender holders for the bow rail of my 278?

Hey LVChris I'm interested in those fender holders. Give me a call tomorrow when you get back in town. Those should work w the fenders I have. Thanks.

Hutch9900,
We've been using this setup since 2010 on our 268 and really like it. This system gives some mounting flexibility as you can use them individually as we do or double them up.

Hey TFD2001 has some advertised on our local lake Facebook page. They are the same ones Bliss36 has showing in his photo. I use the same ones but use the double setup so I can carry four bumpers on board since we raft up a lot with houseboats. You might send him a PM and see if he's sold his yet.

Pardon the dog post it was the first photo I saw in my Photobucket account that showed the fenders. Kobi is waving at you with his ear.

Yes, I would be interested. Do you know what size fenders they hold?

Yes, these are exactly what I am looking for! What size diameter are your fenders out of curiosity? I think mine are only 6", but after my trip to Erie last year I realized that I need something more substantial than that. I was looking at 8", but I wonder if I should get 10"?

Do you feel safe with the 8" fenders? Just curious, because I had to dock on the outside near a break wall last year and my fenders wouldnt have cut it. A guy came out and loaned me a pair of his much larger fenders and I felt a heck of a lot safer. I wished I would have checked to see what size they were!

Well I would hate to carry anything larger on my 278. Yes I feel pretty safe with these particularly carrying four on board. Yeah docking on a breakwall would take a pretty large fender but I think I would be comfortable with mine.

They worked great on my 268 as well as the 318. I tried the holders but didn't care for them. I didn't like leaving them out in the sun all day.

Yea, my wife posted a craigslist ad for those as well. She only mentions one (it's a double hanger though) but I though we had two, I'll have to check.. Here's a link to her add: http://chambana.craigslist.org/boa/4390638657.html
