So, if you want to really get a S215. Contact these guys, they are local to me and based on my conversations with a salesman I know quite well at
the dealership, they would love to get rid of the S215 they have. He told me there has been little to no interest in the cuddys' they have in stock.
The dealership bought when they were first released, and have been sitting in his showroom for years collecting dust.

I'm quite sure when people see it in person and realize it's a boat for ants with that insane price tag they walk away swiftly

ric: Thanks for the information and pictures, thats pretty crazy, I would love to see one in person but there is non close to me, the closest one is like 4-5 hour drive.

I have not been looking at a 235 because I think the boat is to big and its over my budget.

I had a open bow before a 6m long 19′9, so I dont want one that is much longer, I guess 7m would be fine, but thats it.

Not sure what to do now hmm...

Do not do anything else until you drive 4-5 hours to see that S215 in person. Bring everyone with you that will be normally on the boat. Sit in it. Try to lay down inside the cabin with you and your significant other as you would during an overnight.

Interesting post because I am currently contemplating a move from a '93 S215 to a '00 S235. One reason I am looking to upgrade is I'd like "at least slightly more" cuddy space for sleeping.

For me, the length for sleeping is more important to me than headspace but I don't think I'd like it to be significantly shorter. The '00 looks sleeker than the '93 so I'd think the headspace may be less.

Can anyone comment on the size difference in my situation? Seems the newer the cuddy, the smaller the cuddy.

P.S. Sorry for high jacking your thread.

Correct. Newer = smaller with Four Winns since they started integrating the swim platform. A 2015 H200 has less room than a 2000 H180 for example.

I'm a little surprised you'd be willing to purchase a relatively new Four Winns S215 without having the opportunity to at least get on it and make sure it meets the needs on what is really important to you. Not nice to purchase a boat and then afterwards think damn, this is not what I expected. I like our Four Winns, but when the time comes to change boats, I will consider all makes and models that I feel would best meet our needs and wants.

Enjoy boat shopping, should be a number of models to think about. That 4 hour drive might be money well spent to rule the S215 in or out of the running.

Mike.

I drove 4 hours to see the S215 and I didn't even want to buy one. I think I spent a good 30 minutes crawling around in the cabin of my Chaparral alone before I bought it. Of course I totally didn't even think about the idea of having a dedicated head which is why it's now sold.

Any other cuddy cabin around 30-40k for a 2010 or newer?

There is nothing made past around 2008 under 7 meters can comfortably sleep two full sized adults that's worth a damn. Designs changed for more cockpit space instead of cabin space.

The cuddy cabin "golden years" were 2002-2008.

Yes, you just need to keep searching. You won't find many with your requirements and preferences.

I think that Bayliner is about it. I love the Monterey 214 FSC but it's a coffin.

Why is the bayliner a coffin? You mean its low on roof space?
