Hey guys..when it rains it pours I guess. I am looking for a GOOD, USED (hopefully) upper and lower unit for a 4 cylinder 3.0L

Let me know if you know of where to look, or if you have an old boat around that might have a lower unit sitting around in good shape.

Thanks
Dan

Yes...it is a omc cobra 3.0L (4 cylinder) engine. My budget. I'd like to stay under $1000. Location is Wisconsin.

hoping all the "collective" minds on here will help me locate a good used outdrive (upper and lower). I See a nice used one on ebay for $900, but the guy won't ship. So hoping there might be someone on here, knowing where I can pick one up at a decent price, and get it shipped to me.

again, it'll be going in a 1990 Four Winns 170 Freedom with the 3.0 OMC Cobra engine ( 4 cyl)

Thanks for any and all help.

Dan

Thanks for that lead GotWhat.

I just emailed the guy, hoping he replies. I told him I just needed to be sure it was for a 1990-1993 omc cobra 3.0..as any older and the gear case was smaller.

I asked if he would put it on a pallet and ship it? I'd cover the $950 asking fee, plus shipping and packing charges.

Hope to hear back from him

Dan

If he doesn't reply, should try giving him a call instead. If he doesn't want to ship it, maybe it might be worth it for you to drive out to Metro Detroit and back. You can do it in a day.

GottWhat,

I did indeed call him..and super nice guy. He was willing to work with me...I got the complete outdrive shipped to me for a total cost of $1100 for the complete drive shipped!. The drive is basically in brand new condition. Orignal paint on it, no dings or dents anywhere. Looks great.

being installed as we speak. Plus they are are doing a full "tune up" on my engine, new plugs, etc. And my speedometer had stopped working, so they are putting in a new Pitot tube and getting my speedo back up and running. I should have it back by Thursday or Friday this week. Can't wait.
