BOAT HAS BEEN SOLD!

PRICE DROP. $29,990! Best deal on a 268 Vista w/ Genset and Trailer.

Hey guys,

It's been a great run with our 268 Vista, but we've decided it's time to move up. The boat has been very well maintained and we simply hate to see her go.

Sharp boat...brings back memories of my 268! Good luck with the sale, it seems priced right so it should go quick!

What are you upgrading to?

Thanks a bunch! It's been a great boat for sure! We haven't settled on anything specific, and we probably wont make any move until early next year. We'd like something in the 32 to 36 foot range, not exclusive to Four Winns. We recently saw a 318 for sale and thought the layout was great. How have you liked yours?

Absolutely love it, just spent 9 days on board. 318/338/358 are all the same boat...go as big as you can! There is a nice 358 for sale in Miami...nice price on it also!

Highly recommend the 338. We moved from a 258 to the 338 and love the room and performance.
Looks like a great 268. Hope it sells quick.

Thanks! Definitely have the 318/338/358 on our radar. I think Four Winns really stepped up their design on those models. Keeping fingers crossed for a quick sale.

Nice, clean V268...I hope she sells quickly for you. I agree with the other comments on the merits of the 318/338/358. We moved up to a V338 from a V268 a little over 2 years ago and wish we had done it sooner. Good luck with the search!

Price Drop $29,990. Hands down the best deal on a well kept, well equipped 268 Vista w/ a Trailer. Comes with *everything* you need to get in the water.

Starfish,

I was wondering if you could help me on the wiring discussion several years ago. I have a 2004 268 and have horn problems. I've replaced the horn but discovered that the switch was bad. I replaced that and now I am getting voltage to the horn. However, its only about 6-7 volts where I was getting nothing before. I need at least 10 volts from what I'm told. I'm thinking there is a short in the wiring which, by the way, is gray at the horn - not the orange/white which is leading to/from the switch.

You mentioned removing the panel in the cabin behind the mirror. However, your post didn't mention anything but the CO detector on that panel. I have the lcd tv as well. Did yours? This may complicate removal of the panel and running new line.

When fixing your horn, did you have to access any of the wiring under the dash? If so, how?

Thanks.

That LCD TV you have isn't factory. Factory location was next to the gallery, where that filler panel is on the ceiling. 99% sure that TV is hard wired into the head, but it's been a few years. TV should slide up and off the mount, then the mount will easily unscrew.

Accessing the backside of the switches is a PITA.

Thanks. I am convinced that there is a problem in the wiring between the switch and the horn but I'm having a marine electrician take a look so its possible we can avoid the whole panel removal thing.
