Thanks in advance,

Did you try going thru FW dealer? All canvas for my 99 268 is available from the factory and reasonably priced.

I just ordered new tops from the OEM, Great Lakes Boat Tops.

The price I am paying is very fair in my opinion.

Here is a link to their page, and good luck.

jbfiii, I have been told by my local Four Winns dealer, and by the Four Winns supplier Great Lakes Boat Top, that Four Winns made the canvas for the boats that DID NOT have a radar arch. The canvas for boats with arches came from Great Lakes Boat Top Company. Canvas is still available from the factory for the no-arch boats and from GLBT for the boats with arches.

My boat is a 2002 268 in forest green gelcoat trim and canvas (see picture below). My local dealer quoted me the following part numbers and prices in Sept 2014.

Part #
Description

116-50085
BOWS, 316 BIM/CAMP TOP ASS'Y 268V

140-50285-0802
CANVAS, GREEN, BIM. CANVAS ONLY 248/268 $428

140-50287-0802
CANVAS, GREEN, FORWARD CONNECTOR 268V $215

140-50288-0802
CANVAS, GREEN, BIMINI SIDE CURTAINS 268V $429

140-50289-0802
CANVAS, GREEN, AFT CURTAIN 268V $429

140-50290-0802
CANVAS, GREEN, AFT SIDE CURTAINS 268V $445

140-50292-0802
CANVAS, GREEN, BIMINI BOOT 248/268 $100

140-50286-0802 CANVAS, GREEN, BIMINI ASSEMBLY 268V. This is the complete assembly that includes the bows. The Sept 2014 price quoted to me was is $2167. I'm sure prices have changed some since then, but the part numbers and prices may give you an idea.

As they described, these canvas and isinglass pieces come from the original patterns. You will need to do the final fit and install the snaps to attach the lower edge of these sections to the windshield and boat.

The other alternative is to have a local canvas shop make it for you. This might be your best option if there is anything you would like customized.

Thanks for this info Gary, it seems pretty reasonable to replace parts, are the whole thing. My front has some marks, I am going to try to clean/polish and see how it does, if not, for less than 300 it will be new.

Gary
what is the name of the dealer you got the quote from? also, is one of these pieces the isinglass that goes on the front between the bimini and the windshield? Great lakes quoted me $438.62. Greatlakes did say their dealers actually do for less on many items...

Thank you!

The dealer quote I received 2 years ago was from Wayzata Marine in Wayzata, MN (pronounced Wy-zetta). Their website is http://www.wayzatamarine.com/. The isinglass from the windshield to the bimini top is called the Forward Connector.

After checking with Great Lakes Boat Top 2-3 years ago, I get emails from them once or twice a year announcing 20% off sales, but their canvas for the 268 is only for the boats with radar arches.

Keep in mind that the tops will need to have the snaps installed on the lower edges where the panels attach to the boat.

I have the radar arch..... I was surprised it was basically $200 more. I know it's been 2 years, so I expected a $20-30 increase at most...

Thank you!
