That's a bummer that you have to sell. Nice looking boat.

Good Luck with the sale. You will need it here in West Michigan.
The market for good used boats is in the tank, unless you want to trade
it in (and lose money) or sell at a fire sale price (and lose money).

Good idea, just for reference, those boats are not selling either. At least not for the reserve that the sellers have established.

What advise would you have, Cap'n Morgan, for getting it sold. I cannot set the price lower than what is owed. That is the bottom line.

Post it on every online boating forum possible. Post it on boat trader and Craigslist. Go around to your local dealers and see if they have classifieds bulletin board or something. Lots of pictures. Lots of details.

Although - if you owe more than it's worth (which is fairly common these days for people) -- you're kinda stuck.

Take a beating and pony up the difference... or keep owning the boat and the costs that go along with it. But - at least you'll have it to enjoy!

Your price is not bad. I wish I could give you some advice to help sell your boat. The only thing I can recommend, is list the boat everywhere you can afford. Get the most exposure you can, so it will get seen. You may also try a broker, who will often list it on mutiple web sites . The disadvantage, is most brokers will take between 6% and 10% of the sell price for their time. But, many brokerages do not charge anything to list your boat.

I will keep my eyes and ears open for any leads I might run across to sell your boat.

On a side note, if you do list it with a dealer, or broker in West Michigan, most of them will be at the GR boat show in two weeks. Having your boat listed and available at the show, might be some good exposure.

Best of luck to you.

Edit: I see you have the boat listed with Michigan Boat Brokers, which also lists on Boattrader. So you are fully aware of the brokerage scheme of things. I did not search
when I posted my recommendations above. My bad.

I agree...best of luck to you. I just did a rough estimate on what your boat is worth on NADA and you are quite a bit higher. Boats now are not even selling right now for their NADA value.

I know NADA is not the bible...but it is a point of reference.

Good luck.

Just for ref. Here is a close comparison to yours that didn't sell on Ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... &viewitem= This one is a salty, but it does have a generator.

Same salty dog, but price is lower here. More realistic IMO.
