1990 255 Sundowner. Does anyone know of any used parts for a 1990 255 Sundowner? I am specifically looking for back to back seats in gray/navy. Color is optional though. Thanks for any help that's out there.

The best way of redoing the interior of an older boat is to just replace the seats with new ones that match the interior color scheme. You can look in an Overtons catalog and see what they have. For my '88 H-200 I was able to get new helm seats and the rear bench that matched the interior coaming panels. It is cheaper that way than having the old ones re done.

I believe the Overton seats are too small for your boat. Veada.com has the
seats that are full size. I have heard many great reviews for their products.
Check it out. John

Just an FYI, you don't have to re-seat the boat in the factory layout. Get fancy with it.

Not too far from me but on South Shore. Wonder if the boat got swamped in Sandy; based on the map it certainly could have....that whole area is no more than 5-10 feet above sea level.

swamped or not water doesn't hurt seats

Salt water will rot the staples and if it sat in water there could be mildew in the foam, etc. You really have no idea how bad this storm was in those low lying areas. The entire island of Long Beach was under 3-4 feet of water, hundreds of houses were trashed, boats were sitting on the Long Beach Long Island RR tracks and laying in the middle of major roads like Sunrise Highway (a major 3 lane in each direction road). Anything coming from the south shore, boat or auto is suspect.

Perusing the craigslist ads from your neck of the woods reveals a lot of "parting out" ads. First thing I thought was "Sandy boat".

I can certainly vouch for seats from Veada. I purchased seats and
matching bulk vinyl to re-do the complete interior of my 1992 Sundowner 225. You can see a selection of photos at: http://www.pinterest.com/rickcrouch/boat-restoration/
