The shop manual should tell you how to inspect. If there are no cracks in the rubber and its still flexible and not brittle they should be good to go. I can't see them being bad after 2 years as already indicated. One thing you have to watch is if you are in salt all summer the marine growth can stick to the rubber and when you trim it could make a wear spot and cut through. Some of those shells are sharp...
