My seat pedestal sits very low and has a very minor adjustment. I want to replace it so that I can adjust it up so I can see above the windshield and then down when I want to sit and look through the windshield.

Has anyone done this? Any recommendations?

Thanks

Look for seats that have a flip up bolster.

This one may not have the pull up seat but you can ask them.

I had looked at a new seat with a bolster. My only concerns were with the tan color matching the rest of the tan on the boat and price.

West Marine and others sell some adjustable height pedestals that appear to just swap out with the original one and are less than $100.

I replaced the pedestals and seats on my 261 Liberator and went with a swivel seat with bolster. They work real well. I like to stand when I drive. There are also usually 2 different heights on pedestals you can get. These seats not only swivel but have a large adjustable front/back travel as well. I got them at West Marine and have gotten a lot of compliments on them.

I keep forgetting to try and take some measurements. My pedestal is pretty low, maybe 9 inches tall from the base to top of it with the seat off and I am trying to determine how much higher I need (this was when I was looking at fixed heights). Just found some adjustable heights which might make it easier so I can raise it up and down and swivel.
