A good 4-blade on the SX drive and it will do fine. I like the camper top option. Many do not have one that I have seen for sale.

I will agree that camper canvas is nice and would like to have one. But we will have to agree to disagree on that outdrive 8)

Well..... We went from 240 to 260 with-in 2 seasons.... Our 240 Had a SX drive which was more reason for getting other boat..... We had a 4 blade prop and did ok until we test drive DP...... all down hill from there.... I would recommend to go with DP if you are planing to load more than 6 people....

Just make sure you have good insurance. Those lower units and props are mighty pricey.....
I could buy a whole spare Cobra drive rebuilt for less than the lower and props
I was thinking of doing the Cobra to Volvo SX swap on mine eventually, but the price of even a plain SX is crazy (4500-6000 new depending on what vendor) I'd have to get a used/rebuilt unit for sure.

I'm not even sure if the OP is even still looking or not, but it is always fun to try and spend other people's money.

Today's latest H240 listing. No comment on price. But it does have WD's "preffered" outdrive.

The SX drive boat $ seem really low, must be the power option bringing it down that far. The $50K is a joke. No way.

It's amazing how much the swim platform makes these boats.

I bought my 03 240 with 5.7 GSX Si SX drive with only 150 Hours (covered storage) 3 years ago for 15K. The ice chest and rear cushions had never even been used (still wrapped in factory plastic). Came with a Stainless prop, tandem trailer with spare tire.

+1 Where are you supposed to hangout on that boat without the swim platform? I wouldn't enjoy my boat without it!
