I just brought my "new" 2002 214 home and it has a stock tow ring... What's the proper way to loop around the ring?

Let me see if I can describe in words. First, run the end of the line behind the ring (between ring and boat) from the bottom to top. Then, pull the line over the top and across the front of the ring. Now follow your first "pass" under the ring from bottom to top and loop the end of the line on the hook in the center of the ring. Give a tug on the line and the entire "assembly" will tighten around ring.

This might ba a bit hard to understand; I had the admiral read it for sensibility and she seemed to understand. There might be a few other methods of attaching a ski or tube rope on the "tow eye", but this works for us and doesn't allow the line to loosen when the skier drops off.

No problem Creekside...tough part of the winter right now; even with the balmy 60 degree temps in Colorado last week. Wanted so much to put the boat in the water, but realize that I can't de-winterize for a few more months.

Any boat talk on the forum these days is welcomed. Suppose I could have visited the boat in the storage lot and taken some pics of how we loop the tow line on the factory tow eye this weekend. May do that on a lunch break this week and post some pictures - no promises.
