Just bought a 2006 V248 and am already tired of having to be in the water to attach a bridle to the stern hooks. I have seen a picture of an '05 248 with a tow hook attached to the swim platform. I assume that captain was able to tow skiers and tubers without losing his swim platform?

One option i am considering is to mount a tow hook inside the storage compartment just above the swim platform. I can use a piece of 3/4 plywood or something similar to brace it from behind and that won't be an eyesore because it is under the rear seat. I will of course need to leave the storage locker door open while towing but if it works, who cares?

Curious what others think about this idea.

Update for you V248 owners. Went ahead and installed a tow hook as described and it works like a champ!
