On our tube there was a small bladder that was inside the main tube. When I was airing it up I brust the small bladder. Will this adversly affect the tube or is it still safe to use?

Had that happen with an O'Brien Le Tube, never noticed a difference other than it was easier to inflate.

Same with the O'brian Super Screamer, something burst inside but it has never affected the tube a bit!

cant help you there/ we've never inflated the safety bladder, which is a basket ball sized chamber inside the main tube. Cant say it'd do much for safety that a life jacket wouldnt already be doing. It may stop the tube sinking and being lost if it did deflate, but then again you'd hope it was tired to the back of your boat in the first place

Any recommendations for a brand and type of reliable tube? Probably will only be pulling two people in it at a timeā€¦

Thanks

Gladiator Sparton for 2 is easy to work with and excellent quality.
one main tube, 2 air cushion seats, 2 backrest.

Also works as a boat for the kids (just add oars) or flip over to use as a cushioned sundeck.

Just got a tube, Gladiator Maximus, for the boat and it looks like it should be a lot of fun! Also on a side note, I have to say I am very impressed so far with the quality of Gladiator.

Been using an Airhead Slash for almost 5 years now. Very durable. Because of the open back, it's very easy to reboard too. Not sure I agree that it's as steerable as Airhead makes out - one thing's for certain, if the rider plants the fin at the wrong time, they are going to do a sideways 180 in a heartbeat. Still, I recommend them - in fact I just ordered up a second one to facilitate 'tube wars'.

Will have to look into those. For right now we are going to stick to one, until I learn how to handle a boat correctly.

Being the first boat I have ever owned in my life, while my wife has been around them for her whole life...I don't want to be 'those jerk kids' on the water.

However, once I get to know how she handles, will most likely have two on the back!! 8)
