Last weekend I decided to go for a ski .This may not seem too strange for all you Northern Hemisphere folk out there, but here in South Australia our water skiing season normally wraps up at the end of April and doesn't start again until October. Our Winter months are June,July and August. Anyway the boat is still a new toy and the weather was kind, so what the heck you only pass this way once. Where I ski, near Morgan, in South Oz, we are very fortunate to have a climate that has only around 8 inches of rain a year and generally warmer days than Adelaide. Don't be mistaken the water temperature in winter is still cold in winter (it never even gets close to freezing over) but still flippin cold all the same. Hence the picture of myself I am wearing a full length wetsuit. The plan was do a dry start from the bank, have a ski , then finish in knee deep water at the end. That was the plan, but fell off in the middle. After that finishing dry just wasn't going to happen. Ehhh it's all fun

Way cool pic Ardy! Your story reminds me of when I was a youngin'. I used to ski with a family in Wisconsin and the dad would carry a thermos of warm water to pour inside his wetsuit before jumping in the figid waters in early spring. I remember thinking how much I loved being out there, but there was no way I was getting in the water, even as a kid.
