Hi all,

I'm wanting to upgrade my spin on filter to something a little better and easier to find than my OMC 502906.
I can't for the life of me find info on the filter and thread size to cross reference it to a Racor system.
I'm chasing something like this and will buy a new Racor alloy head if needed:

This is what I currently use:

Any advice is appreciated!

I tried a Racor and while I think they do probably filter better and will handle water better, removing the metal bowl is a big pain. I worried about that o ring leaking as well. So I went back to the Sierras I used for years with no real problems. Save your $$.

Thanks for the advice, Lou.
I've supplied Racor's on heaps of equipment in the past and have only heard good reviews on them.
Sierra is not that common of a brand over here and Racor is readily available and cheap to buy...
Any tips on thread/ filter size?

<edit> Will 30 GPH be sufficient a filter flow rate for my 2BBL Volvo 5.7 GL?
