So I'm working on something else in the engine (freeze plugs see other thread) and I notice there is this thing hanging not connected to anything. It is the red arrow in the picture. It looks like it goes in the blue arrow spot, but it does not really fit in there. Can anyone identify it and tell me what to do with it? Thank you.

Looks like its the sensor for the exhaust temperature overheat alarm.

Here is what the parts guy at my local four winns dealer said when I emailed him this picture:

the red arrow points to the wire that should be on the sender
line the two up and a gentle push should be all it needs
