Hey everyone! What psi should my gauges be showing while cruising? I have a 2001 268 Vista with the 5.7 and it idles right around 40 psi but when getting up on plane it increases to about 65 psi and while cruising at 3500 rpms it hovers around 50-55 psi. Is that normal? If not, should I be worried? Any insight is appreciated! Thx!

Jon

Sounds good to me. That's as good or better than my '02 268.

I just replaced the oil pressure sensor in my truck 2 weeks ago. The gauge was pegged at over 80 psi and then I left for lunch from work and it dropped to 0. In normal operation it would run 40 psi at idle and junp upt to 60-70 psi and then settle down at 60 psi when running down the highway. So that sounds about right! My truck is a 5.3 so not entirely different motors, unless marine motors have a different oil pump.
