i posted this on the horizon thread also..

so last night i changed the impeller on my boat. before doing so i was told to spin it counter clockwise once it was in the housing to get the veins pointing correctly and i did so. unfortunitly before taking out the old one i forgot to mark what direction the veins were faceing and it has been in my head all day at work if i got it right. i have changed it out before and marked the pointing direction on my owners manual for future referance but now i cant seem to find that either.

i just dont want anything bad to happen....

so does this look right???

According to my Volvo manual (which covers 5.0 and 5.7, your picture is correct.

I just replaced my impeller and I played around with it while I had the housing in my hand and, regardless of how I inserted the vanes, they flopped around to the right way as soon as I turned the pulley by hand. Short answer, I would not worry about it either way.
