I hit something under water....not a good day. Bent the prop shaft, destroyed the prop and damaged the lower unit (volvo Penta SX).
I'm considering using a Piranha prop as a replacement. I think it would of saved everything but the prop if I would of had one on when I hit the obstruction.
Anyone have any experience with using them?

I use one on my 1988 245 vista. My first time using it I broke off a fin on a sunken object. Fixing it was a snap. The blades get worn down in sandy areas where metal props have no issues. So far it is a good choice.
