Hello all, newbie here. I have a 2008 H210. Is there a aftermarket prop or a better one than the factory one that mine came with. It has the Mercruiser 5.0l and paperwork says it is a MCM Alpha 1 outdrive. I purchased boat at end of summer last year with only 30 hours on it. Feels like it has no bottom end power when starting out. Any other performance tips or upgrades anyone can suggest would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again.

First off, you have a 210 (3500# boat) with a 5.0. I test drove one when I was shopping, and was seriously underpowered.

If you just want to improve the bottom end a bit, you need to get data from your existing set-up. ie Drive Ratio, prop pitch, WOT RPMs and GPS speed. Plug that into this calculator, and play with the numbers a bit until you find the desired prop. I am going to bet that "one" will be a 19-21P Stainless.

It will be best if you get to test a few props and use the data from those as well, likewise getting a better feel of where you are and what you are after.

As far as other "upgrades"... I haven't seen one worth the money for something I use a few weekends a month, a few times a year.

Thanks for the info, I am finding out by research that it is the lack of power that this engine/combo puts out...
I love the boat and it is my first one. Maybe an upgrade next season..Thanks again.
