Hello from Oklahoma....I have 07 Horizon190 w/ 4.3 Volvo penta. When I had it winterized I had the shop take a look at ticking noise....they said it was the idler pulley...is this something I hav to through Volvo or can I find something 4.3 compatible?

I'd guess it's a Volvo specific part, Merc and Volvo use their own add ons for these engines. A ticking noise might be a valve lifter, those tensioners can make a grinding, howling noise when the bearing starts to get rough. You can check it yourself by loosening the belt and turning the bearing by hand, there should be no roughness or play. While you are at it check the water pump and alt the same way, all of them have bearings that can make noise. If the tensioner is bad fix it right away, if it comes apart it can make a mess because it can ruin the belt and then you loose your batt charging and engine cooling.
