So I haven't been out much this year due to my work schedule and life in general.

First time out, started up no problem.
Second time out, a month later it took a few cranks but it finally did turn over. Nothing unusual here...
Third time out, nothing. No crank at all but everything else works just fine. I can raise and lower the outboard, turn on blower fans, etc. but the engine doesn't even attempt to crank. I believe I can hear the fuel pump working or something priming near the front of the engine when trying to start it.

I put the battery on a tender and just tried again at full charge and same story.

Any ideas before I take it to the shop?

Thanks in advance!

Neutral safety switch? Make sure the throttle is in neutral, or wiggle the throttle back and forth as you turn the key.

If that doesn't do it, could be starter probs, bad solenoid, cable, starter itself...

Also, check the kill switch (thing with the lanyard that attaches to your clothes), make sure it is secured to the switch.

Kill switch is good and throttle is in nuetral.

I had the starter replaced in 2009 under warranty and hasn't seen much action since then, plus it isn't even attempting to crank so I don't think that would be it.

Well, if the "mechanical" stuff checks out (safety and kill switch, + starter itself), then the only thing left is electrical. I would start tracing wires/cables, to the starting components with a meter and find out where the disconnect/problem is.

Just for shiots and grins, I would still move the throttle back and forth while trying the key, you would be surprised how many times that is the problem.
