My thoughts, save your money.

Boats will not benefit from minor upgrades like automobiles will.

you want more performance, drop in bigger displacement...... or buy a bigger boat with correct motors for performance you desire.

Do a search on performance upgrades, you will see comments/advice on this subject (chips, ect...)

Those ebay chips are scams and just pass-thru wires. You can buy the MEFI Burn software and cable to adjust settings and yes you can get 10-15hp if you know what you're doing.

In regards to a 3.0 engine, no there is nothing you can do. I owned one and I LOVE upgrades and there is absolutely nothing that can be done to make the 3.0 faster except take it out and install a bigger engine or sell the boat. I did the latter.
