Now that you got it out, when you re-assemble, put some OMC/Bombardier Gasket Sealing Compound on the threads, it will keep out moisture and stop the bolts from seizing. I use it on my Cobra drive that sits in salt water six months out of the year and the bolts always come out without a struggle. As far as impellers, the Cobra probably had the best designed one that there is, right under the plastic cover on the upper gear unit, three bolts and the housing comes off, you can change it in about 15 min, can even be done on the water if needed....

Great news! There's nothing terribly specific about them that would require getting them from a dealer. A bolt is a bolt, provided it uses the right material and is the right size, of course. Any local shop with parts intended for marine use should be able to match up new ones.

Great news!!! I'm a PB believer. It creeps way better than anything else I've ever tried.

Ahh...the irony. Got my impeller housing back on there yesterday morning, put the boat in the water, fired up the engine....and my raw water pump needs to be replaced. Naturally it's the same one where I had the stuck bolt. Oh well, that's boat ownership for you, I guess.
