Thanks for the tips Lou, I do boat in some cold water in the Lower Niagara and Lake Ontario (even in summer the temp can be 60-65 degrees), so I think the 40 weight will be good. I actually picked up a small electric pump from NAPA Marine for $30 bucks, it takes about 45-60 minutes to pump er' dry, but I don't mind, gives me the chance to change the oil, fuel, and air filters while its pumping (and yes, I set it faaar away from the fuel filter area so no errant sparks ruin my day).
