I don't have the Engine owners manual,what is the maximum opperating RPM that my engine should do,
1997
Volvo Penta 5.7GLi

WOT it's running approx 5500

Prop is 14.5 x 19 3 blade Ali

I had downloaded the engine specs from that model year on the Four Winns website some years ago. It says 4200-4600 rpm for all the 5.7L except 5.7LGSi ( which is 4600-5000 rpm).

That's not a roller rocker motor, I wouldn't take it beyond 4800.

Agree...actually, I would keep it at 4500 (but thats just me).

5500rpm?! Yikes, thats redline for a stock 350.

should i up the prop spec,at the moment its fitted with
14.5 x 19 3blade Ali ???

Nothing wrong with a 21 pitch VP stainless prop

I think your tach is wrong, highly doubt you have been running 5500 and keeping the motor together.
