As I don't have a Volvo Penta Engine owners manual, could anyone tell me the correct procedure for winterizing a 1997 Volvo Penta 5.7GLI Engine with a SX Cobra drive.

This is my first year owning the boat,my last was a Mercruiser with carbs and i just used fogging oil,but this one is injection ????

Cheers

Taza

Should be the same for any motor and drive. You might have a different location for some plugs though.

Along the same lines, (mine is a 4.3GL)

I have been reading and researching how to winterize mine, and I am going to follow the advice (removing plugs from engine and such) but wondering out loud why just removing the thermostat and running the anti-freeze through it isnt enough?

And does anyonee have a favorite resource out there for how to's? I have found quite a bit out there but didnt know if I was missing anything obvious.
