I have previously used a Evinrube/Johnson oil filer (PN 502900) on my 5.0L OMC cobra engine when I change the oil. Is there a different brand I can get that I could find local (fram, etc). I have having to run around online and get this stuff when I want to get the boat away for the winter. |

I used a Fram for my last change, got it at Autozone. |

If your engine is a 5.0 litre ford engine, it takes a Fram PH-8. If it's a 5.0 Chevy, it takes a Fram PH-5. Or the short version of the PH-5 is a PH-30. If your filter is a remote mount, meaning, not directly mounted to the engine, let me know and I will cross reference the OMC part number for you. John
