I have a 1999 Sundowner 205 with Volvo Penta 5.0GL SX drive with 279 Hrs. I am seeing a little power steering fluid on the starboard side of the bilge and I have not been able to find the leak. Has anyone tried Lucas Power Steering Stop Leak? What do you think, I would like to try something before I take the seats out and take everything apart. |

Are you sure it's PS fluid and not trim fluid? |

It's usually the power steering "ram" high pressure seal. My H180 had that leak. When turning the wheel see if it drips out. Volvo penta used to sell a repair kit but discontinued it. You can bring it to any competent hydraulic shop and they should be able to fashion a new seal. Not a big deal or expensive but pain in the ass to take out. |
