Post subject:  Carburetor Problem

First of all i had a problem with my carb running rich and i decided to rebuild it...
I have a problem with identification of my carburetor..
I have H180 2006 with 3.0 Glp-d and a Holley carb with all this numbers on it
1223,2285,75028-2,3863240,3250... I ordered a rebuild kit from volvo penta store
but i think thats not the correct one because the diaphragm and some other parts in
kit are not the same one...And i had one more problem that the previous owner of the boat
already rebuild the carb so he changed the main jets, power valve and nozzle so i have no idea what size are the standard jets on
this 2bbl carburetor and what size is the power valve and the pump discharge nozzle size?
If someone with the 2bbl carburetor and same engine can tell me the STOCK size of a power valve, main jets and nozzle
and if someone can tell me which carburetor kit is for my carburetor model??
THANKS

Former owner  This is a great example of what happens when people named Mike who drive rusty El Caminos think they know more about boats than the people who design them. I bet it had a Mr. Gasket sticker on it somewhere too. ;)

Is there any sort of identification on the carb body? You may have to call FW and/or Volvo with that to get the right parts. Sorry I can't be more specific.

You likely have a variation of this carb http://holley.com/0-80402-1.asp

Take a look at the front of the air horn for a number...it could be the 75028-2 number, but whatever number is there is the model number of the carb.

Get the kit from holley directly and make sure to get the ethanol safe kit. Green diaphragm.

I wrote a mail to holley tech and they tell me that they not have a kit for this carburetor..
And they not have more information about this model just wrote to me
75028-2 is a model 2300 2 bbl marine carb
a kit for it will have to come from volvo penta
But the kit from volvo is wrong...
And everything from valve, jets, nozzle etc was changed in carb so i have no idea what to do??

Well, don't spend too much money. You can get a new one for $230.
