I know there were issues with the earlier versions of this drive, almost exclusively with the trim pump / reservoir mounted on the transom shield underwater ( what a supremely stupid idea, in my uneducated opinion !!) There's a lot more of these drives fitted and in use in the USA, are these issues with these drives now sorted out ? Should I avoid them ? |

My sxa trim pump went bad, replaced under warranty. $1200 repair otherwise. The water intake nipple also broke. Hated that drive. |
