My engine model # 574AFRMED does not match the numbers that the manual supplier has on record for 5.7L. Does anyone have this number ? They list :
574AMOPWS, 574APEPWS, 574APRPWS & 574BPEPWS.

hello.. you have a 1989 model OMC drive in your boat. I have a '92 Horizon 200 with a '91 model year OMC drive. I was told that happened on the early model run boats to clear out the earlier year drives they had left over. You can see the model numbers on the BRP Parts website by year. You go to the main BRP USA website, then related products, and parts. From there you get a link and look under Sterndrives.

btw.. i read this somewhere and part came from my service manual.. the values mean..

57 - displacement
4 - 4-barrel
A - really means nothing. i read that it might be the version #'s within that model year.
F - should be a P for power steering(M for manual). check yours it should be one of the two.
R - standard rotation
MED - just some value they came up with and really means nothing for the model year.

My '91 model year 5.7L Cobra is 574APRRGD. Most of the 5.7L OMC powered boats should be 574APRXXX where XXX is just the made up three characters for the model year. This excludes the dual engine boats where it would also have a 574APLXXX.
